Top seed Mount Aloysius College and No. 3 seed Penn State Behrend each earned victories in the semifinal round, advancing to the AMCC women’s volleyball championship match slated for Sunday afternoon.
Sasuga collected 45 digs and successfully received 42-of-43 service attempts in a pair of must-win matches for Pitt-Bradford over the weekend. In the five-set win over Alfred State, she collected 25 digs and successfully received 27 service attempts. Sasuga averaged 5.63 digs per set on the week.
Madigan had another strong week for the Hawks, leading her team to a 2-0 record. Madigan finished with 24 kills, hitting .212 with 40 assists, nine aces, and 22 digs. She also recorded another career triple-double in the Hawks' win over Carlow, as she recorded 12 digs, 23 assists, and 17 digs to go along with seven service aces in the five-set victory. The victory over Carlow helped the Hawks clinch the No. 4 seed in the AMCC championship tournament and the right to host a first round playoff game.
Ulmer had a huge week at the net for the Lions, helping her team go 2-0 in AMCC play. In Wednesday night's 3-1 win at La Roche, she finished with eight total blocks, notching one solo and seven assists. On Saturday, in a home sweep of Penn State Behrend, she tallied eight more total blocks with two solos and six assists. On the week, Ulmer recorded 16 total blocks (2.29 blocks per set), having three solo blocks and 13 block assists.
Richards powered Mount Aloysius to a pair of conference road wins including a reverse sweep vs Hilbert. Richards tallied 35 kills, 37 digs, and six aces across the two matches, while averaging 5.0 points per set. She hit .142 for the week while averaging 4.38 kills and 5.75 digs per set, helping the Mounties go 2-0 in conference play this week and locking up the #1 seed.
